Leslie Seiler

Actor & Author, Trapped in Tafetta

ImageLeslie Seiler hails from Halifax, Nova Scotia and has been performing in community theatre, shopping malls and yes, eventually the stage for six years. Although some of her favorite character creations remain: The Bingo Lady and Penelope, the Cape Bretoner in love with a host from Breakfast Television (don't ask), she is always looking out to create a new one. This inspired her to create the more than thirty characters that live in Trapped in Taffeta. Leslie has performed two summers with Festival Antigonish in Nova Scotia as a member of the young company (Blithe Spirit, Wind in the Willows, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) and in their late night improv series. She has been in Toronto for only a year and a half, since she graduated from Dalhousie University's acting program, and has been attending classes with both Second City and Theatresports Toronto in order to follow her first love of comedy and improv. In the spring, Leslie can be seen on YTV's new improv comedy series - "Don't Lick the Pig" (again, don't ask). Leslie looks forward to doing more writing because she feels that life is full of great, warm and funny moments - if you stop and look.
